Guitars For Vets is a small non-profit organization with a big mission — to use the healing power of music to help veterans — but a low visibility. To change that, the BVK social team developed a social platform that highlights the success stories in order to humanize and celebrate the mission. In just over one year, the Facebook community grew by more than 440 %. And the community is passionate, with nearly 50,000 comments, likes, and shares on Facebook posts-all with a tiny budget. More importantly, all of that engagement is making a difference with new local chapters being opened monthly, donations increasing, celebrities endorsing the program, and thousands of veterans learning how to play a guitar and remembering how to smile.
